Designer Fireplaces

Winter is sneaking up on us, so I thought I would put together a collection of stunning fireplaces, some modern, some rustic – all of them fabulous and each of them give that added wow factor to the room.

Contemporary and sleek – this high gloss wall houses the simple fireplace and dramatic grid wall of white – a fantastic contrast to the brick walls in the room.

This living space above uses raw concrete as the main feature for the fireplace, once again a perfect contrast in texture to the other elements in the room. Modern, yet also with a rustic, earthy feel. Via  Prentiss Architects.

modernist fireplace ciiwa

This room has a definite modernist flavour – furniture, crazy pacing design for the stone feature wall that surrounds the fireplace – this one is perfect as it services both areas in the open plan space.

Hawkesbury-Residence-by-Marmol-Radziner-5

This home links the outside and the inside together, by continuing the stacked stone of the fireplace outside to the deck area. This space is a perfect combination of texture and space.

This room is a fabulous combination of the classic marble fireplace and the quirky zebra  accent chairs and lipstick pink cushions. Adventurous and stylish . Designer jonas gustavsson.

This room is a welcoming and contemporary space, where the fireplace is not the main focus , but cleverly placed as the divider in the living area.

Cozy-Apartment-in-Sweden-11

This beautiful vintage enamel fireplace is from a very cosy apartment in Sweden. I love the quiky addition of the aqua lantern and gorgeous black log basket.

The fireplace in this room is the anchor of the space. Its solid colour and strong lines are the key to the room, with the other elements of colour and furniture bold and fun to give the room originality and character. via Elle Decor.

steel fireplace

The Industrial steel surround of this dramatic fireplace  trimmed in black cleverly includes storage at the ends and heats both areas of the open plan space. The black is echoed in the lighting and furniture.
